Team Cattle Penning from Bowden

Final round competition of Team Penning. 30 cattle numbered in groups of 3. Teams of 3 cowboys attempt to remove all three cattle of one number and herd into a pen in under 75 seconds. A wrong number ends the round.

Entrevista com trio do Team Penning donos do Recorde da Arena de Barretos

O trio Washington Scatolin, Antonio Gumieiro e Junior Ferreira fizeram o menor tempo da modalidade Team Penning na arena de Barretos e estão classificados para a final do Rodeio Internacional.

A modalidade Team Penning é conhecida como a prova da família nos rodeios, por reunir três competidores tentando levar três animais para o curral com muita agilidade no menor tempo possível.

Há dez anos esse trio corre na primeira semana para se classificar. Eles começaram a competição sem sorte, não conseguiram vaga nas primeiras eliminatória, porém, no último dia, na última passada do trio conseguiram a vaga

Para um bom desempenho na disputa é necessário muito treino, no caso deles o treino veio do dia a dia, eles trabalham na lida com o gado e isso faz parte do cotidiano Explica Antônio Treinamos poucas vezes juntos e isso não atrapalhou nosso entrosamento

É necessário sorte em toda competição, mas estar atento e preparado para aproveitar a oportunidade é fundamental diz Junior Ferreira que se emociona em falar sobre o sonho de ser campeão de Barretos.

Washington Scatolin, explica que o Team Penning é a modalidade que mostra como é a vivência na fazenda.  O peão precisa apartar o gado, laçar para curar, entre os outros serviços, exige técnica e, é isso que trazemos para a pista e colocamos a velocidade que a prova exige

Antônio ressalta que para ser campeão de Barretos é necessário investir em um cavalo bem treinado. Não existe animal pronto temos que trabalhar diariamente para ter esse resultado

A convivência nos dias da festa é regada a muita diversão, mas a partir de quinta-feira o trio se concentra para realizar o grande sonho.
