Simple Dancer stunt kite from HQ Kites

My 1,076th kite video. I filmed this many months ago, and forgot to edit and upload it. Now, with little chance to fly because of bad weather, I've dug it out, and maybe it will be of interest to someone.

Dual Line Framed Kite Showcase - Quantum, Nexus, and Jazz

Quantum

The ultimate choice for new pilots and our most popular sport kite, the Quantum’s impressive 7-foot wingspan is full-sized for serious pull and excitement in a wide wind range. Carefully engineered to make learning a snap, the Quantum’s wide wind range, adjustable bridle, and light but tough carbon frame make it the kite you can learn on easily but never outgrow.

Nexus

Big enough for real-kite performance, small enough to pack in a suitcase, the Nexus is an adrenaline-filled intro to sport kiting and we know it’ll get you hooked. Simple, rugged and affordable, the Nexus flies with the ease and control of a larger kite, with all the details that have made Prism the world’s leader in sport kite design.

Jazz

Simple, rugged and affordable, the Jazz outperforms every beginner stunt kite in its class. It’s a zippy little wing that packs up small so you can take it everywhere. Leave it in the car, at the beach house, strapped to your motorcycle...because you never know when you’ll get the urge to fly.

360s with Stunt kite [ZERO Wind Flying]

FlyKites Electrik SUL is capable to fly in Zero wind conditions with minimum effort. It has excellent feedback and control on the stall speed which allow it to fly so slowly.
Of course, there was some air movement (you can see the kite slightly shaking on its yaw axis) but this is more like a turbulence which disturbs the ultra smooth flying rather than helping it to fly.

THP Platinum Pro Comp Sport KITE Takes Flight In Honolulu

This is a viewer's request, and I was bored on a sunny Hawaiian winter.
This is my Edge type stunt kite, sport-kite, or whatever they call these kites today.

Video taken at THREE of the fields I normally fly at: Old Stadium Park on King Street in Moiiliili, Washington Middle School (my old stomping ground) (formally Washington Intermediate School) in McCully, and Kakaako Waterfront Park. Dwaine Dog Chapman - The Bounty Hunter calls Kakaako (Kak kak AH' ko) kah ko WAH ko.....

I fly OLD-school style. Not free style. I love my kites to make a lot of noise, and fly fast.
Today's winds was light. Slow-motion stuff. 2 - 7 MPH. Gust to 9 MPH. 10+ MPH, this kite would roar to LIFE! I would be dragged across the field if the winds went above 17 MPH! =D

Dual Line Tutorial - Assembly and Disassembly (stunt kite)

Another in an ongoing series of Kitelife Magazine tutorials for using dual line sport / stunt kites, this one detailing an efficient and reliable assembly and disassembly method.

While putting your kite together and taking it apart may not be relevant to your flying, it DOES effect not only the longevity of the kite and its materials, but a proven process can greatly streamline and simplify your before and after on the field.

You can look forward to a growing collection of similar tutorials covering equipment, flight techniques and other pro secrets gathered from over 20 years in the kiting community... 2010 Kymera in Seaside (sport | stunt kite prototype)

Prototype flights at the 2010 AKA Grand Nationals in Seaside, OR... A new kite design from John Barresi in conjunction with ITW, the Kymera was conceived as a blend of old-school and new-school to produce both trick and precision/loading ability in a wide wind range.

Built to drive and track with sharp, stable cornering when loaded up, the Kymera is a great kite for sharp banking turns and arcs with small powerful inputs, backed up by its smooth style throughout a wide range of tricks.

Coming in 2011!

Neutrino - Super Fast Micro Sport Kite

There’s a new little speed demon on this side of the galaxy! The all-new Neutrino is lightning fast and super responsive - a twitch of the fingertip is all it takes
for radically fast loops and spins as it rips through the sky. It’s a clean sheet redesign of our world famous Micron, with a bunch of new features for all kinds of new fun.

Snap on the long streamer tail to trace your acrobatics in the sky and slow it down in strong winds. Ready for an extra challenge? Try flying single-handed with the dual-purpose winder / control handle. Can you fly one kite in each hand?

When you really want to impress a crowd, clip two, three or more Neutrinos together in a synchronized stack. Individual stacker kites are available ready to go with no stack lines to tie, and there’s even a custom bag (sold separately) to store your stack fully assembled for quick launch when the time is right.

Special thanks go out to our videographer, Alex Zimmerman! (
