Extreme Life: Rope Jumping

A ropejumping is an extreme sport, jumping rope with high object using a complex system of depreciation of climbing ropes and equipment. Jumps come in several forms: with the free fall and without free fall (pendulum). During the jump experienced jumpers often perform spectacular acrobatic feats and items.

Professional jump ropers mostly go for 3 different types of ropes, that is what we have with us for all our workouts and we keep our budget lower than 50 euros for all 3 of the ropes!

Why we do that?

We are talking about jump rope, an equipment that we would like to have affordable for everyone, as it is a simple tool, and depending on how much training, practice you put into it, you can be absolutely great at it with a simple rope - there is no magic - you need to train, the rope will not do the work instead of you!

There has been many ropes on the market, and we have tried/tested plenty of that - we still go for the simple ones.

Jump Rope | Anatomical Analysis + Active Muscles

Jumping Rope Exercise Benefits

Jumping rope can increase the elasticity and resiliency of lower-leg muscles, leading to a reduced risk of lower-leg injuries.

Jumping rope regularly strengthens the calf muscles and improves the elasticity of the surrounding tendons and fascia.

Muscles used in Jump Rope:
The gastrocnemius fibers contract almost isometrically while the fascial collagenous elements lengthen and shorten like an elastic yo-yo spring (especially the Achilles tendon).

Stand in the middle of the rope with one foot.
Pull the handles straight up making sure the rope is taut.

For beginners, the top of the handles should reach close to the shoulder as we can see at the end of this video.
