Learn How to Jump Rope Boxer Step

The BOXER STEP ???? This Jump Rope Skill is a little confusing at the start for a few reasons. People generally don't understand the footwork, they kick their heels back, lift their knees too high or just get tripped up in the rope due to the alternating of your feet. Here are some tips for you to try the next time you attempt the Boxer Step:

TRAINING TIPS:
1️⃣ Take the rope out of the equation and just work on your footwork.
2️⃣ Start slowly by shifting your weight from leg to leg.
3️⃣ Similar to running/jogging on the spot. Lift your feet off the ground to create a jump instead of pushing them off the ground.
4️⃣ Now you can try bringing the rope in. If you are not getting the footwork then take the rope out and focus on the footwork then try again with the rope when you are ready!
5️⃣ When you have mastered a few jumps in a row aim for 10 unbroken. Then keep increasing this until you reach 100!

The Boxer Step is definitely a skill that I use often as it produces less impact. So if your shins are sore then substitute Basic Bounce for this little beauty!
