A2: Explosive chin ups – 4 x 5 with 2 mins rest

B1: Flat DB bench press – 4 x 5 with 0 secs rest
B2: 3-Way push ups – 4 x 2 with 2 mins rest

C1: Wide grip lat pulldown – 2 x 8 with 10 secs rest
C2: Two-hand plate pinchers – 2 x 30 secs with 10 secs rest
C3: MB shotput – 2 x 2/side with 90 secs rest

If an athlete develops force quickly, that means they can demonstrate a high rate of force development (RFD).

Upper Body Hockey Workout For Shot Power 💪🏒

Here's the full workout:

A1: Wide pronated grip pull ups 4 x 6-8 reps (60 secs rest)
A2: DB Cuban Press 4 x 9-12 reps (90 secs rest)

B1: BB Pendlay row: 4 x 9-12 reps (60 secs rest)
B2: Medicine ball Russian twists: 4 x 20secs (90 secs rest)

C: DB Farmers walk: 3 x 30secs (90 secs rest)

**A and B are to be done as supersets. Go back and forth between the exercises, but make sure you rest for the time given between exercises.

Hockey Conditioning Lateral Power | Hockey Speed And Conditioning



Hockey players know that lateral power is the key to maximum performance on the ice. Even the forward motion on the ice is utilizing lateral movement. Kbands Leg Resistance Bands and this Hockey Conditioning Lateral Power Drill will activate all the muscles of the legs in a dynamic mode to increase speed and power.

Choose the proper resistance band and strap on the Kbands leg Resistance Bands. To set up the drill, all that is necessary is a bench or board set at an incline. The player will begin in a lunge position a couple of yards away from the incline. From the lunge position; explode in a lateral motion shuffling toward the incline. Meet the incline with the closest foot and then explode from the incline back to the starting position. Perform 6 in and outs on each leg for an intense and effective lateral power hockey drill. After completing this drill repeat 2 in and outs of the same motion and then sprint ten yards forward, turn and sprint back to the starting position. Hockey conditioning doesn’t have to be performed on the ice, one can gain speed and the proper muscle strength with this type of hockey conditioning very effectively.
