Unbelievable First Super Over in Cricket history || World Cup || IPL || T - 20 Match 2017

A Super Over, also called a one-over eliminator or simply an eliminator,[5] is a tie-breaking method used in limited-overs cricket matches. The super over is a reduced version of the match that consists only of one over (six balls) and two wickets for each team. The official result of the match would be a tie but within the context of the tournament or series, the winning team of the Super Over is declared the winner of the match and the victory is seen as equivalent of one earned in a regular match. Runs scored in super overs do not count towards a player's statistical record. The Super Over was first used in 2008 in Twenty20 cricket, replacing the bowl-out method that was previously used for breaking a tie. The Super Over is primarily used in Twenty20 cricket.

The Super Over was introduced into One Day International cricket at the 2011 Cricket World Cup knockout stage, where a game ending in a tie would have been decided via Super Over,[6] but it was not used, as no 2011 knockout games were tied. For the following World Cup in 2015, only the final would be decided by a Super Over in the event of a tie. Ties in other knockout-stage matches returned to the previous rule where the team with the better group stage performance would advance.

Contrary to the tie-breaking methods used in other sports, the Super Over is often used in the group stage of Twenty20 tournaments. Journalist Sambit Bal described this use as being unnecessary for situations outside knockout stages. He sees a tie being a satisfactory result both to the teams and in entertainment value.[9] Mike Hesson, the coach of the New Zealand national cricket team, also criticised the Super Over after his team lost two Super Overs in the Super Eight group stage of the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 and finished bottom of their group.

On 4 February 2017, it was discussed in ICC meeting to introduce Super Over in case of knock out matches of a tournament.

world cricket news : 5 batsman who made a new revolution in their limited overs odi cricket,

Welcome on Nega news hindi channel

Hello friends,

It has been more than 100 years since the start of cricket game. In cricket history, we have seen new ground in the field as well as have seen cricket change every day. In the last few years cricket has seen a new phenomenon, where at present, the batsmen have taken their game up one level and surprised everyone with their new kind of batting. He has created a different identity by searching different types of shots in cricket.
Shot shots from cricket book played by batsmen reflects the innovation of all batsmen. All this innovation has been seen more than T20 cricket, and all of these are used in limited overs cricket,

Tilkaratne Dilshan (Dilshoop)

Sri Lankan legend Tillakaratne Dilshan introduced Dilshup in the T20 World Cup 2009. The art of playing a heart shadow shot is used against the fast bowlers. To play this shot, the batsman has to sit on one of his knees and reach the fast bowler's good length ball over the boundary line, playing on the wicketkeeper. This shot is risky and in order to gain mastery in this shot, more practice is done than ordinary shots. The name of this shot was named after Dilshan, which is now recognized by the name of Dilaskup in the cricket world.
Sachin Tendulkar (upper cut)

The great player of the world, Sachin Tendulkar, has made many names in his 24-year career, but he also introduced a special shot for the batsmen in cricket. There was a new shot for the upper cut batsmen played by Sachin Tendulkar. When playing this shot, the fast bowler's bouncer will have to stand on top of the wicketkeeper. Sachin Tendulkar has played several shots while batting and he remains the most discussed for the straight drive, but with more cut he became more famous.
Kevin Pietersen (switch hit)

Batsmen influence everyone with their timing shots in cricket, but at the present time, after the arrival of T20 cricket, the batsmen have invented new shots in batting, keeping the base batting one edge. England's finest batsman Kevin Pietersen also introduced the switch hit shot to the cricket world. While playing this shot a batsman hits his shot in the opposite direction by changing his position. For example, the right-handed batsman plays the shot on the left-hand batsman's position. After Pietersen, this shot is now seen playing Australia's Glenn Maxwell and David Warner.
Douglas Marilier (ramp shot)

Douglas Marilier of the Zimbabwe team had invented the ramp shot 15 years ago. He played this shot against great fast bowler Glenn McGrath, playing against Australia. By the last minute of that match, he had made many runs for his team with this shot. Ramp shots are used today in T20 cricket. England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler and South Africa's explosive batsman AB De Villiers are the master of this shot. Both of them play the shot smoothly and cross the ball.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (helicopter shot)

Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has ruled the entire world cricket with his captaincy and also has bowled all the bowlers with his captivating batting but the helicopter shot invented by him became his identity in the cricket world. For the first time, Dhoni played this shot against James Anderson in the year 2006. Many batsmen tried to play this shot but all failed. His shot also makes the yorker ball of fast bowlers easily reach the boundary. Dhoni still sees this shot playing smoothly.
The helicopter shot played by MS Dhoni has been the most spectacular shot of cricket history.
